Comfortable accommodations are a key component of an effective study abroad program.  With the goal of providing a variety of options for our students’ needs, AGS offers three possibilities for housing in Quito: 1) family home-stays, 2) students’ apartments, and 3) hotel.

Family homestays

The family home-stay option is intended for those students who want to maximize their learning—not only in terms of Spanish, but also Ecuadorian culture—by sharing in the daily life of the family.

All of AGS’ host families are carefully selected to provide the support and comfort necessary for a pleasant and enriching stay.

Each student will always have his/her own private room and will share bathroom facilities with the family.  Breakfast, half (breakfast and dinner) or full board and weekly laundry service is included with this option.

Cost per day with breakfast:  USD $ 15
Cost per day with half board: USD $ 17
Cost per day with full board:  USD $ 18

Students’ Apartment

AGS offers a fully-equipped student apartment near the institute in a safe and tranquil neighborhood in the modern part of the city. Close to shopping, restaurants, parks.

This option has been designed for those students wishing to maintain their independence while sharing experiences with other students from distinct parts of the world.

The apartment is fully furnished, with living room and kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities.

Hostels and hotels

AGS maintains relationships and discounts with various hotels throughout the city to provide those accommodations most desirable to its students.

This option include private room with private bathroom, security box, storage equipment, and also a 12% VAT and 10% service tax.

Upon request we also offer shared bedrooms in hostels and upper class hotels.
